Chapter 2 part 1: New beginings.....

As the mourning light of the sun strikes the partly repaired brownstone, one wonder what the future holds for the people living there. What challenges and trails await them as they grow closer as a family. For Blaise that has been the one thing that's been on his mind ever since their first battle one week ago and so far the answers have been out of reach."Just how long do you plan on hanging around?" Alasdair snarled grumpily."You're redirecting sunlight into my face and it's not pleasant to have to light burning you eyes"

Blaise was indeed hanging around both figuratively and literally speaking. The Cloaking Cells are not perpetual machines and must recharge after 200 hours use. Turning into the Nightmarangers takes up more power than being human so there are times where they must turn back into monster form. Blaise's fur however was rather reflective of sunlight and when you're hanging overhead and sunlight hits light reflective fut it's going to cause problems, especially if your roommate is light sensitive.

Sunlight has been a mixed blessing to the Nightmarangers. While there was much to do in the daytime on Earth, they were weakened by the UV ray our sun produces. To deal with this sunscreen must be put on every two hours so they can operate in the daytime. Prolonged exposure without protection is fatal to denizens of Nox Aeterna, the homeworld of the Nighmarangers.For vampires like Blaise this is a point he is reminded of everyday as he sunburns easily so he has taken to carrying a black umbrella to block out as much sun as he can. Turning back into human form he picked up a prepacked lunch and went off to his first day as a gardener.

Meanwhile back in Nox Aeterna Overshadow was going over the plans with a humaniod plant monster."As the Dragon Phone is still being completed we are in need of a test subject. I have upgraded your vocal cords to stun humans and project soundwaves as a offensive tactic. If you are able to bring back one of the traitors so we can do...testing to see if it work correctly"Overshadow then pointed at CyborgDrake with a dark look in his eyes, flaring red"I do not want a repeat of what happened with Octocrush! I will have this world as my own!"

For the most part CyborgDrake was unaltered. His body was a mass of thorns and vines with muddy brown eye and blood red teeth exposed with long fangs and two holes that passed for a nose. His chest was silver with lights placed here and there and in his clawed hand there are nozzles that spray spores at his enemies. He gave a solemn salute and walked into the portal to Earth.

"Master I must ponder what it is you feel is wrong with your generals as they are" CyProde beeped."Not everyone survived the cybernetic surgery and should CyborgDrake fail we will only have 28 left" "Far too many have died due to the weakness of flesh" he said."I want warriors who are unyielding, without remorse and feel no pain.Those five are the only ones without cyborg parts and they also have the Cloaking Cells. I NEED them back!!"Overshadow thundered. CyProde hovered back in utter fear.

After orientation Blasie began watering the plants. It was a humble job for a humble man but that was OK with him. Better to do something he enjoyed doing than to struggle with people like the others. He wasn't a unfriendly person, it's just he never did well in making friends of his own until he met Alasdair and later Aiko, Melia and Gregory. When he was finished he swept away the old plant material and did a little deadheading on flowers that had finished producing pollen. He wasn't wearing his usual Goth attire as that would get dirtier than he'd like. Instead he wore a simple button up shirt and slacks with a green smock. 'So far this is going well' he thought to himself. But things are ever that simple as he would soon discover.....

Next time: Blaise meets his rival in gardening and he's rather headstrong! To make matters worse CyborgDrake attacks and Blaise is framed for damaging the garden! See you there!
