Chapter 2 part 2:Roar of CyborgDrake!

No sooner than he sat down for his lunch break a man ploped down right next to him. He was moderately muscled with a rat tail hairstyle and dark grey eyes. His sleeves were rolled up and his boots have seen better days."I take it you're the shrimp that's just starting out" he said rudely."You smell like old sunscreen and I really,REALLY doubt a Goth like you can do this job."Blaise couldn't think of anything to say in his defense and even if he could, what good would it had done? He cannot tell people he was a Nightmaranger nor a monster and he didn't wish to fight anyone on his first day at the job. But someone wasn't going to respect his wishes of nonviolence.

Landing with a thud was CyborgDrake himself with a small platoon of ZoriGummies. Using sign language he told them to attack Nightmare Red and his reluctant coworker."I have no idea what the hell's going on but this is so far the worst performance group ever!" Takato bemoans.Blaise however knew to grab him and rolled out of the way of a Zomigummy's axe. The chard behind them however was not as fortunate.Takato angrily shoved him out of his way and charged the robots with a mad look in his eyes. Blaise ran as fast as he could to a shaded area and typed in "REVERT" going back to his vampire bat form.Flying overhead he dive-bombed the Zomigummies but C-Drake leapt out of the way leaving him to crash into the flowerbeds. Nervously brushing off the remains he attempts a jump-kick at CyborgDrake but he was able to catch his foot and throw Baise straight up into the air. Signing at Takato that his days are over unless he surrenders, he points at the vampire that laid down in a painful heap.

"I DON'T TAKE ORDERS FROM DAMN MONSTERS!!!" he roars and punches him square in the chest. As C.Drake's torso is metal he broke his hand but that didn't stop him all that much. Before he could attack again C.Drake unleashed a horrible howl that knocks both Takato and Blaise over and destroys the rest of the garden. Blaise looks over at the remains with sorrow and regret, while Takato slams his fist in rage over what happened. Grabbing a shovel he tried to swing it over C.Drake's head but a soundwave from his month sent him to the land of slumber.

"Yo Blaise we got..." Greg was going to tell him he had brought his wallet over as he forgot to bring it but was in a state of shock over at what he saw. Thankfully Blaise resumed human form and ran over to where Gregory, Akio and Melia were standing."I don't believe this happened. Oh poor Blaise, you must be devastated" Melia told him. She then looked at C.Drake with a fierce look in her eyes."You are goin' to pay for this you no good" but Aiko cut her off with a comforting hand on her shoulder."It would do us no good to be angry at what has already happened. But he should be the one to pay as we are not at fault here. I don't like having to spend more if I can't help it."Blaise nodded in response and glared at CyborgDrake."We shall not allow yu to run rampant here or anywhere. Prepare to face defeat!" he said.

"Eclipse Formation!"

Now in their Nightmaranger suits they charged at C.Drake, trading blows with him at first before he jumped to a table and fired a sonic blast that knocked them back a bit.Regaining their bearings they summoned their weapons and attacked him again. Red and Green swung their staff weapons at C.Drake's at the same time stunning him. With the small window that was open Green slammed her Swamp Hammer at his chin, sending the monster airborne. Red jumped up soon after and smacked him down using his Hanging Staff. Green then attempted to attack him again while he was grounded but C.Drake caught her weapon and threw both it and her into a wall, bringing it down on top of her."GREEN!" Red shouted in fear and ran over to where she was. She poked her out of the rumble and looked at him dazed but otherwise unharmed."I guess we brought the house down...."she quipped before falling down.Blue tried to attack from behind with the Wild Knuckles but he faired no better than Green did, with C.Drake spinkicking him in the chest, knocking the wind out of him before bringing both hand down over his head in a hammer strike. Greg let out a wolfish whimper then clonked out.Pink and Red unholdsterd their Lantern Blasters and fired at C.Drake. He felt little pain and sprayed spores at them, burning them both before they fell out.

"Unbelievable.We're losing to this fool that threw away everything just for power"Aiko shook her head in disbelief."If there was even a time to pull though, now is that time Blaise"

Blaise detached his Cloaking Cell and looked at it being at a total lost as to what to do. Suddenly the words "FIRE BREATH" popped up on the screen. He was spellbound to say the least. But it wasn't before long that he knew what to do. Tapping the screen he inhaled and blew a gush of flame from his helmet's mouthpiece, damaging CyborgDrake. As the monster fell down Melia and Greg regained consciousness and were pleased to see Blaise had saved the day, so to speak.

"YATA!" Green cheered as she bearhugged Red and lifted him up and spun him around, making him dizzy."Oppise daisy.Sorry 'bout that" putting him down gently.Blue then tried to give him a high five but Red fell down and soon Blue came tumbling after."While we are all happy that Blaise unlocked a power we should deal with CyborgDrake before he stands again" Aiko told them. Blaise got up and typed in FIRE SPEAR and soon after one end was ablaze with a fiery spearhead. Aiming true at C.Drake he cried out "Olympus Charge" and threw it right into C.Drake's chest. C.Drake staggered around for a while but soon was on a knee.Yanking it out and throwing it back at Red who was able to catch it and deactivate Flame Spear mode, C.Drake stumbled out holding his damaged chest before teleporting away. The Nightmarangers were annoyed at what happened but the worst was yet to come for Blaise.

Shortly before nightfall Blaise got a phonecall from Takato and he didn't sound happy at all.

"WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THOSE THINGS ATTACKED, YOU DAMNED COWARD?!?"He raged over at the other line."Where they your friends, trying to discredit me? How shameful can you get? I knew you were a worthless Goth but hiring actors to ruin the garden? I will see to it that you're fired first thing tomorrow! Enjoy you evening you worthless-"

Blaise hung up on him before he could finish.How could he tell him that what happened was not his fault without reveling his secret?Melia gave him a sympathetic look."We know you're innocent. We're willing to defend you and prove you didn't ruin your jobsite"

"However it will be our word against his and while we showed up at the end of it he was there the whole time. It will not be easy to prove your innocence but we will not give up"Aiko told him. "I think I can hack the computers over at your worksite and see if I can't savage the security videos" Gregory said."They do say that a picture's worth a thousand words on Earth" he happily added.

"Let us hope there are the right words indeed" Blaise sighed. For the first time since coming to Earth he feared the coming dawn.

Next time: Will Blaise save his job or will Takato see to it he's fired? Wait and see.
