I watched the first four episodes of Sword Art Online and its a pretty neat show.

I primarily checked it out because in germany it gets hyped by every single anime fan I know so I wanted to know whats so good about the show that warrants said hype. But I gotta say I dont see where the hype is coming from just yet. The premise is nice but not the most original out there. The Characters dont have much going for them, especially since we dont get to know any of them. The Main character is also pretty boring on his own. Atleast for now he didnt have to face any challenges since he is so incredibly good in the game. Yes he suffers because everyone around him dies but its hard to feel sorry for the dude when you barely know anything about him.

I also dont really understand how the game is supposed to work. Maybe its my minimal knowledge about MMORPGs thats the problem but sometimes I just dont have a clue whats going on
