Power Rangers Game Knights

Pun intended. This one is interesting in concept as it needs eight suits but only six rangers.

The theme is video games, HOWEVER, the theme is not all one video game. Here's the Ranger/Game breakdown:
Red/Fighting (is a guy), base game Street Fighter
Blue/Strategy (is a girl), base games Command&Conquer/Starcraft
White/RPG (is a girl), base game unknown, but Renegade For Life/Token Evil Teammate
Black/Rhythm (is a guy), base game Rock Band
Orange/Racing (is a guy), base game Need For Speed
Crimson/Shooters (is a girl), base game Call of Duty/Halo

The Megazord works in an interesting manner, not easily compatible with ZordBuilder:

Zords are called DigiZords:
Red's Fighting DigiZord is the core of the torso and head
Blue's Tank DigiZord is torso armor and the pelvic assembly
White's Protagonist DigiZord is the left arm
Black's Rocker DigiZord is the right arm
Orange's Redline DigiZord is the legs

Crimson gets a the carrierzord (the Dreadnought DigiZord) and his own mech, the M Megazord, which turns from a combination of a Sci-Fi tank, fighter jet, steamship, and WWII Soldier to the robot form

Plot: Some force has managed to summon armies of modified video game characters and is intending to take over the world! Five teenage gamers are given powers based on their favorite genre and thrust into the front lines as the Power Rangers Game Knights!

And yes, they would have actual game nights and operate out of an arcade.

Unique suit: Purple
Only active if either Red or Blue is knocked out, the other absorbs their power temporarily to become Game Knight Purple, with the strengths of both!

Unique power to each ranger: Summoning
Due to their unique game-based powers, the Rangers can summon video game characters as allies in the field. One episode would involve Red summoning (most likely) Chun-Li for a date while it's normally used to summoning villains to help figure out what the bad guys are doing.

Each of the main rangers would have three zords, each set of three forming a new Megazord.

Red's alternates: Slapstick Digizord (Super Smash Bros.-type), Elegance Digizord (a female fighter, Skullgirls-Type)
Blue's alternates: Base Builder Digizord (construction vehicle, City-Building game-type), Paladin Digizord (horse and rider, fantasy-type)
White's alternates: Alignment Digizord (cloaked figure, attacks alternate in between 'good' types and 'evil' types, Morality system-type), Explorer Digizord (Exploration ship, Sci-Fi type)
Black's Alternates: Dancer Digizord (Cheerleader to his disappointment, Dancing game-type), Zone Digizord (slow-moving rave platform, rhythm segment-type)
Orange's alternates: Riptide Digizord (speedboat, boat racing-type), Spacelane Digizord (racing spaceship, spacecraft racing-type)

Crimson's alternates: none

Carrier/Final mecha: Dreadnought Digizord/Arcade Master Megazord

Weapons/Combined weapon:
Red: Spirit gloves
Blue: Ordinance guide
White: Renegade's Staff
Black: Lighting Axe
Orange: Overdrive Cannon
Combined weapon: Crash Laser

Crimson: Omni-Blitzkrieg gun (changes what kind of weapon it is)

As you can see, I made the five main ones mostly normal with Crimson being the extra-dark Shooter dudette. One thing I'd have as a theme is that sometimes it is better to play something that isn't your style and adapt than be stuck with only one thing you do. Crimson would NOT be a loner, but instead expect the rest of the team to be as serious as she is, when they know how to have fun.
