I just learned that Ginga S existed yesterday and just found out that some of it was subbed today. I liked the first episode, although I had to pause it at one point to try and figure out where the hell I knew the other dude from the task force (it's Gou from Shougeki Gouraigan). It's nice to see that this new season of Ginga is going back more to Ultraman's roots, what with things like the task force, the ancient civilization, and a budget. I think I'll keep up with this.

Also, you could tell from the very first shot after the opening credits who directed this.
