Everything up until the first confrontation with the monster was nearly perfect. The banter was brilliant and Peter/Jenna are awesome together and, in nearly every aspect, Capaldi was as brilliant as ever. There was a solid attempt to have some real personal drama in the episode. I think, for the most part, it was better written than most of the interpersonal drama we see on the show but I'm just not feeling it for some reason.

The primary thing the episode did was make me dislike Danny Pink even more. The romance angle seems awkward and forced and it's saddening that, most likely, he'll be the cause of Clara's departure. The creature was meh, but as it wasn't the focus of the episode it was easy to ignore. I was amused somewhat by the Matt look-a-like confusion, though. The 'big mystery' continuing scene at the end felt a bit out-of-place, but that's to be expected. I have to say, though, that in the 'Next Time' trailer, Jenna looked good in the spacesuit.

Still, all in all, I'd say this was the most completely satisfying episode thus far. Or, really, more accurately, the one I felt the need to nitpick the least, despite having too much Pink.
