Overall, I would probably still rank Makai no Hana better than the second season, but that is more in due to the horror movie and music episodes while TOWSID comes in a way far down last place even blow Zero and Red Requiem. Nevertheless, this series could have used more episodes throughout that dealt with the main plot and some actual episodes focusing on just Crow. Like instead of that stupid episode with the girl and the fuzz ball, they could have done an episode that gave us some insight to Crow. I loved Raiga. He has the badassery of Kouga and the personality of Kaoru, but he did not need to be the center of attention every episode.

I could go without Garo for a year. Maybe just do the TOWSITD film next year and not have another full series for a year or two. It's weird to think it, but Garo's actually hitting a point of over-saturation.

I think one of the biggest overall problems with the show was that it spent a lot of episodes developing the weekly monster's backstory and character, but forgot to do the same for the actual regular cast. There were a lot of early episodes where Raiga and Mayuri didn't show up until well after the episode started because the writers were more interested in exploring the flower artist or the manga illustrator or someone. We could have spent some of that time explaining what Mayuri's deal was so that the audience could actually get invested in the issue of her humanity. We could have spent that time giving Crow a personality. The original series did such a great job of balancing the Horrors and the characters, I'm not sure where things went wrong this time.
