Considering someone in this thread has said they're watching the show at the moment, please spoiler your stuff if you're going to go into detail about what happens in the manga/anime/movies whatever. I've taken the liberty of doing it for you this time.

And regardless, even if the circumstances are SLIGHTLY similar that's still not enough to say that the films are "done as close to the manga as possible". Especially when they're the ones that diverge most of all.

(Not that I care, the films are my favourite thing out of the franchise. I haven't read the manga but they blew the anime out of the water)
