[Thessair]

Another mostly enjoyable episode. The SFX of the creatures were done well. It's a shame that most of the other digital shots in it suffered so horribly. (TARDIS shots excepted.) Clara was brilliant and, hands down, the MVP of the episode. Capaldi really shone in the material he had and the Ten-style speech was well-played. Pretty solid overall, until the end. Clara finally gets to be a character on her own and we jettison all of that out the window to shoehorn another mystery into her. Damn you Steven Moffat!

It's sad that considering how much he's been in, I recognized the crotchety old guy (I plan to sue for them using my personality without recompense ) from Batman '89 before anything else.

This series sure has gone fast, eh? Three episodes left.


Edit:

The Doctor moving the TARDIS thing-style was a great scene. I also enjoyed, for some odd reason, the baby Pandorica the TARDIS became (visually, I mean) in siege-mode. As the Doctor, Clara didn't waste time finding a companion, did she?
