Don't worry. I was a freshman in High School when it first came out, and I was trying to get into that phase of "If it ain't animu, then it's clearly a kid show" but my younger brother (Who I shared a room with) loved it and always watched it when it came on. So I couldn't ignore it and got into it, too.
