He was the original Proto-Drive, has been captured and the Roidmudes did experiments on him, using his human form as a layer for Chase and his armor for Machine Chaser.

My money is on the human that was used as a model for Chase and who also was Proto-Drive, he will become Mach.

This makes a lot of sense. It still requires and explanation as for what makes Chase different from the other Roimudes, if he truly is one.
