A charger can be inserted into the mouths of the Stegosaur or Tricera and go up into the connection on the T-Rex arm, but what holds that connection are the small tabs on either side of the hole. The Dino Charger's do absolutely nothing to stabilize the connection and since there's no electronics they really don't do anything when the Megazord is all combined. But they can connect that way.

The arms them selves at the shoulder are connected to the torso/chest piece. You can literally just pop the shoulder off, arm and all on a zord builder port.
