Good question!



I realize we're all on the same page, but I figured I'd throw up a pic for a point of reference.

I can't deny that the SL versions are better proportioned and sport more detail. They're not as nice as hand-candy, though, except the Green Ranger. Both the White and Gold Rangers have classically removable clamshell armor, which means the armor flys right off when you move the arms up. Doesn't matter for display, but when my nephew is over and the Power Ranger toys are out, we usually ignore the toys with stuff that falls off every other movement.

Needless to say: I tend to gravitate more toward toys that are playable. So, while I'm not totally on board with the new one's BEEF factor, I love the playability. I bought the Green Ranger first and it had totally killed the mood for me, at the time. I wasn't going to buy any others. Then I got the red Zeo Ranger and fell right into this line. I think the Green Ranger is the only one that suffers, somehow. His head looks too small, and the armor is a bit too big. Otherwise, I friggin' love every other figure I've gotten so far.

Sooo...while I enjoy the SL ones visually, I'd really rather they didn't go back, now that I'm invested in this scale and the amount of characters they've done. They would have to re-kick this line into gear in that new scale with some improved features to catch my attention - and I mean recreating everything they've already done so far - which is a little ridiculous.

So, in short, I'm happy with what they're doing now.
