Well there have been some cases, Gaoranger (the big cat mechs at least), Magiranger (red and Magidragon particularly), Kyoryuger (most of the dinos had moving arms and legs at least).

Not that precedence is an excuse anyway.

But my big issue here is specifically things like the red and blue mechs here having feet that are cast together in one piece of plastic. They look like over-sized ranger keys. And while these pictures are too small to confirm I'm sure that the red mech's arms are stuck in that awkward 90 degree angle too.
