I friggin' love this episode. It really gives me some high hopes for the rest of this season.

Though, I will say that I noticed a lot of parallels between this episode and the first part of Dino Thunder's debut episode.

We get to meet the original villain early on but we don't linger, the mentor of the season is fleeing from the villain and his forces while he tries to make off with the crystal devices that will become part of a transformation device later on, the mentor has a brief fight before everything starts to blow up, the Red Ranger of the series ventures into a cave and finds a red crystal that will soon give him power in an area littered with fossils, etc.
