I do my best not to level grind so I'm not over leveled for the game (So a sense of challenge is present), but it feels like I'm a walking tank. Most battles can (And typically are) resolved by Milotic's Surf in one hit, with very few switches for the few who resist it...

Either I accidentally got too strong just by fighting the trainers they place on any given route, or the game is playing itself too easy...

Remember the last part of the villains' team name for Gen 3 always pointed out what the main typing for their pokemon are .
