This morning we learned that we lost one of the true icons of Science Fiction. Leonard Nimoy, after being hospitalized for COPD, has passed away. Some of you are far to young to remember his work on Star Trek The Original Series. But he was in much more than that. From Dragnet in the fifties to the Twilight Zone. So his show In Search Of.., where he brought us different mysteries each week. You may know him instead from his episode of The Simpsons, Futurama, and his role in the Fox series Fringe.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Susan Bay, and the millions upon millions of fan who have loved him on stage and off.

The word is given. The ship is safe. And never have any of us come across anyone more human.
