Do you really need to convert though? Both VLC and Media Player Classic Home Cinema play MKV just fine. Or do you want to watch it on a TV or Console that can't work with the format?

I gone in to watching it on my console. I used to plug my laptop in VGA caple to my tv but cant be askd with that any more so I use usb to watch on my ps3.
