Cinderella.

As someone who's burnt out on the formula...I think that this is the best film version of the story (Yes I'm including all the ones set in modern times). It makes a lot of smart choices regarding the Prince specifically, like having him meet Cinderella earlier on in the movie, and how his relationship with her wasn't just "I danced with her, so she's the love of my life." their relationship develops more naturally, I also like how he had more to do, and how he got some backstory. I also appreciate how he knew who he was looking for, so you avoided the problem of "What? Is this guy blind?" I also like the movie's take on the Fairy Godmother, I loved how kooky she was. Another thing I appreciate is the extra backstory on Cinderella herself, and how we get to see her mother. At the same time it does pad out a story that you've likely seen a thousand times, so I could see how it might bother some people. Comparing it to the original Disney version, it seems like they took all the screentime the mice had, and gave it to Cinderella's backstory. I'm ok with this change, since the story should be about her, not the mice (although they do still play a role). Another thing that could be seen as a negative is this movie's use of Magic. It's the reason her Stepmother and stepsisters don't recognize her at the ball, and they explain that as the reason the slipper would only fit Cinderella, because magic. I was pretty ok with it, but again, I could understand how that would bother some. My main issues with the movie (aside from it being Cinderella, because I've seen every version out there, you know the ones starring *insert "it girl" of the time here*) are purely cosmetic. Some of the CG is questionable, and I don't quite get why the Stepmother was wearing a leopard print robe, since I don't think they had those back then. It's not something that I'll rewatch any time soon, but if you like Disney's takes on classic fairytales, I'd give this one a watch.
