I doubt he gave it away or anything, it's just that, after the explosion at his collection, I highly doubt it's still just sitting around in the wreckage, which is what makes me curious to whether he still has his hands on it.
I guess, due to it's value, he wouldn't have it sitting around or on display like his other stuff, so keeping it elsewhere does make sense. But what with him being, well, a collector, something of that rarity is also the exact kind of thing you'd want to show off.

I dunno, I guess I don't want to wait for Avengers 3 just to find out whether or not he still owns it.
