The Internet tends to find anything as ableist/sexist/racist/homomisic*/etc regardless if it even is. Writing from your own experience in a disability tends to help prevent the "Outsider Effect" that ends up making autistic characters little more than Sheldon Cooper.
On a side note, I hate Sheldon Cooper.

As it stands, I, as someone with Aspergers Syndrome, tend to feel that the world is ideally black and white. Everything needs to be right or wrong with no ambiguity. Choices can overwhelm me as I want to make the "objectively right" decision even though there isn't one. I feel the need to explain everything as needlessly thorough as possible. But I have immense compassion for those I love.
I'd also suggest you try and research how Autistics tend to work out in Japan, as part of me thinks there may be a penchant for hikikomori-like tendencies among them.

*homomisia/homomisic is a term I devised to better refer to people with strong oppositional feelings towards homosexuality using the Greek "misos" (hatred) rather than "phobos" (fear) as I don't think there are many people actually afraid of gays for homophobe/homophobia to be accurate.
