I actually felt DP was the best because it paced itself.
It made the events of the games feel significant because it built up it's adventure with a more proper story, rather than having a 2 hour text dump. *Looks to ORAS*

It's why I hold Gen 4 as my favorite generation. It was the first game since the originals that made me feel like I was on an adventure again
(XY did achieve that, too, but it was over far too quickly)

But what if i want to play as Fennekin?

Gen 4 is overall a pretty good gen in my book, i like the Pokemon, the lore was interesting and the region was cool.
The problems with Gen 4 are that the game is too slow in pretty much everything you do, thankfully Platinum fixed a lot of these issues.
Basically i don't like DP as games.
