Souchaku Henshin was the direct predecessor and the reason we never got Den-O or Kiva Figuarts for so long (and still don't in Kiva's case) was because they were some of the last Souchaku Henshins released and they'd basically evolved into Figuarts by that point. In other news, I can't believe they expect you to apply stickers to Type Formula. That probably would have put me off buying it, if I ever planned to.
