Breeding 2 Pokemon of the same species has better results than with a Ditto (This one not so stupid, but he wouldn't believe me when I told him otherwise, coming up with a bullshit story about his RSE team that was soooo totes strong that could one shot anyone even double their level and he's totally not making things up)
6. Breeding a shiny doubles the odds of the baby being a shiny (Lots of people believe this, annoyingly, though...)
He also said something about natures, but that one I couldn't remember because he was spouting so much other nonsense...

I wouldn't be so peeved if he didn't just dismiss everything I said as I was ripping his team apart.
He wrote my victory off because I used defensive tactics than just going full sweepers, and that he'd win in an all out battle.
