An average Joe that actually looks like an every day person you would see on the street. Not someone who looks like he just walked out of a 6 hour make up session and barely eats. Normally I don't care about bishounen, but we haven't had someone that felt like the average person in years. It would be nice to see a change from the norm every once in awhile instead of this safe zone. Hell, Ghost is having a new production team, they should have also gotten a new look for their cast in the process.

The fact that you want someone to look like Steve Rogers, who literally, was made to be the AMERICAN ideal hero of his time, to play the main for a TV show whose central demographic is a JAPANESE child/pre-teen audience, is completely ridiculous. Your ideas of them casting an average person is also ludicrous considering what would be an average look to some people is different to others. Having lived in Japan for 6 years during my childhood, I can assure you that the physical builds of the Japanese people that lived outside of the military base I lived on differed from the non-military citizens on the base.

Also looks also aren't everything when casting is being made. The actor must be able to convey the necessary emotions and have some likability to even be considered.
