And the guy saying if he could beat Sakurai he could join the dev team is laughable. That's like me saying if I can beat Satoshi Tajiri in a Pokemon battle, I should be allowed to join GameFreak...
Yeah. Upsets me this fandom is to busy trying to recreate Melee when they could take the best aspects of all the Smash games and make an entirely new one. Maybe the big SSB4 mod won't be straight Melee elitist jerking since we now have Smooth Lander and Heavy gravity for those people to play.
I also have this feeling that the Smash community thinks that Sakurai plays Smash at a very high level himself. Whenever people talk about Ganondorf needed a more accurate moveset, people always cite this one quote from an interview back in Brawl that said Sakurai mained Ganondorf. People treat this realistically slight bias and blow it out of proportion. I wouldn't be surprised if some people think that Sakurai mains ganondorf like Hungrybox mains Jiggypuff, where he stays loyal and knows every version of the character, gameplay wise, on a very deep level.
