I can't see them adapting any other Japanese show as Power Rangers if it wasn't Sentai, but I'll admit my creativity is not so potent.

I think it would be cool if Power Rangers did its own thing entirely, without using Sentai footage, themes, suits and mecha.

But at this point in time, I feel like Power Rangers IS Super Sentai, in a sense. Bandai pretty much treats them as interchangeable in their annual reports, and uses the Power Rangers name to refer even to the Sentai series like Gokaiger.
