I had a dream as a kid where a wizard had set up a circus trailer in the woods next to my house and he had gum that turned you into different animals and I tried a piece that turned me into a bloodhound. I suppose you're not really wrong. You experienced a dream in which these events happened, but you still didn't experience these events.

In any case, I have experienced sleep paralysis myself. Once, and it was pretty frightening until I realised what was happening. But that's the thing, you're asleep or just were, and you're not in the most rational alert state of mind. After that it was more frustrating than scary because I couldn't get up, but I couldn't go back to sleep. Fear of helplessness followed by anger of helplessness.
