I've been watching Hidamari Sketch lately. I was honestly caught off guard by how enjoyable it is--it's just, really enjoyable. I think after Monogatari, this is the Shaft-iest I've ever seen Shaft. And that's always a lot of fun. Art and animation-wise it's just a weird, fun thing, the voice acting is great, and the laid-back humor is just...enjoyable. Everything being out of order is also a nice touch. Weird big ol calm little experience, this.

Also the ending theme is really good.

I'm only 6 episodes in, but this series has like 4 seasons and a bunch of ovas...hopefully whole thing is this strong.
