Regarding 2 I agree that some parts of it were disappointing but there were parts i really liked, such as the possession of Agumon and the Dark War Greymon stuff. It really did make it feel like the newer kids had their work cut out for them.

Actually if you pay attention you see Davis, Yolei, Cody, AND Ken fall. It shows Davis's and Cody's Digivices glitter as they fall away, Yolei's glasses falling, and Ken's Digivice (granted its a see through image) fall.
