No, it doesn’t. But it also doesn’t stop them from being awesome.

And it’s still the first major flaw in the show so far, everything else comes down to personal preference.

Because no matter if you like Mika or not, his behavior is an important part of the show and fully intentional.

I think it makes him a boring,flat and one dimensional character much like Heero Yuy as opposed to more interesting and complex characters like Amuro,Kamile,Shinn*before his character derailment* and even Setsuna*before the movie anyway*

My gain I would think.

It makes them feel less like characters in their own right however.

I would personally consider a boring protagonist a major flaw myself but that's me.

It also makes IBO*in it's current state anyway* unwatchable to me as unlike Wing IBO has no other main characters who act as foils to Mika's coldness and ruthlessness.

PS:

I'm not insulting anyone for liking IBO I get why people like it.

It's the "mature and serious" Gundam show that people have been asking for since AGE ended.

I get it, it just isn't a show for me.
