He never says if they want another wish, and upon being summoned he asks to grant a wish in singular form, not multiple wishes.

So either that's something the English dub made up or it was completely lost in translation.

Either way, the wish count sis something so crewed up at this point I just accept it's completely random.

Maybe I'm getting my facts mixed up as I might be thinking of the Boo saga when Goku tells him to go.

If it wasn't that, Shenron left after one wish because he was too scared of Beerus to stick around. It was kind of like a, "You good? BYE!!"
