There were a lot of things I liked about this movie. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous, the action was very reminiscent of the early episodes of the series and the villain looked great. All things considered this could have been a pretty great movie.

But then I remembered its a summer Super Sentai movie and they're very rarely great because of the ridiculous runtime.

There was so much here that would have been great with a little time for expansion. The dinosaur lord was really underdeveloped, the initial infiltration of the village (the thing advertised most in the series opening credits) lasted all of 2 minutes and of course Dinomaru just sort of popped up at the end.

I enjoyed it far more than I've enjoyed most episodes of the series, but it just left me wanting so much more than it actually delivered.
