Hibiki is definitely a wonderful show; one of my favorites. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

There is a noticeable shift in the tone and feel of the show, but it's not entirely horrible. There are a couple parts in the latter half that I think were really handled well, but a lot of the story is pretty lackluster. (And sometimes infuriating...maybe it is as bad as everyone says. )

And that's what I love about the show. It feels unique, and that's what makes it great.
