That doesn't really make a lot of sense. That would be like giving Edison elephant powers instead of electric ones because of that one time he killed an elephant to diss Tesla. If they wanted a pilot Eyecon they could have gone with Charles Lindbergh or Amelia Earheart or that guy from the recent Miyazaki movie. There are far more relevant choices than freaking Houdini.
