I couldn't agree more, when Ninninger was good, it was really good. And when it wasn't, it was a little all over the place. But like you were hinting at, I think that was the idea. This is true of the visuals as well. From an aesthetic standpoint, the mechs were all over the map and had no real through line. I think the whole point of Ninninger was to challenge what has come before and find a way that works for you. Pretty well thought out if this is the case. Either that, or I am reaching for something that is not there.
