I don’t think there should be more romantic subplots. With Drive it was okay, more than that would be annoying though IMO.

As for your second question, you don’t really need to ask that with Gaim and Drive, in Gaim Kouta and Mai rule a planet together and in Drive Shinnosuke marries Kiriko. The others, I don’t really know, I haven’t watched all of those and I don’t really think about that stuff too often.

To be honest Agito is the only example I could come up with right now, since Shouichi X Kana is fairly obvious IMO.
