For me it's minimal and ultimately pointless. The addition doesn't do anything to enhance what the toy is supposed to do. This isn't like the segmented Red Dragon where that really does add a new layer of functionality to it. With this thing you flip the wings in or out at one very strange hinge a little bit. It just doesn't accomplish enough for me to say that I'd want to own it over the original.

As a great movie villain once said "This is not my bird". $59.99 is still too much for a bird with diecast feet that's slightly smaller than the vintage bird. This is more like a $40 bird at best.
