There's high grade, 1/144 scale, which is where the most kits release in and are cheaper, but not a lot of detail. There's Master grade, 1/100 scale, more detail, more parts, better articulation, accessories. And gthen there's master grade, 1/60th scale. Out of the hundreds of mobile suits out there, only a select few ever become Perfect grades. With hundreds of parts, innovative new features, they are top of the line.
There's also Real Grade, which is in 1/144 scale, they are much more expensive and detailed then their high grade counterparts. They come out semi-frequently.

I had those Wing model kits TRU sold and after putting a bunch of them together I was like, "**** IT!! I'm buying the action figures!!" And that is what I did.
I can understand patience being your issue. It takes a lot of time to get good at it, almost like a skill, which some people don't want from their collectibles lol.
Yeah, High grades have gotten a lot better over the past 15-20 years.
