Not to harp on semantics (but since you did it first... )...

Having several decades of past-sentai actors reprise their roles could absolutely be considered surreal. It's something that had never happened before, and something that no one ever thought possible until it actually happened. Up till that point, having that many actors reunite as their former characters was something only possible in a sentai fan's fever dream.

It's not surrealism (see: Dairanger's ending), but it could be considered surreal for certain viewers/fans.
