ZyuOhger is amazing. Yamato isn't a ruddy messaiah like the last several Reds, the Zyumen are all really enjoyable characters, the cats for example you might think would be annoying with Leo being LOOOOOOUUUUUUUDDDDD and "the fun guy" and Amu with the fact she prefers to just not care about finding a way home, but no, Leo's actually pretty subdued on his LOUD and Amu actually has a good reason for not activley helping in trying to go home to Zyuland as much as she could.

And if you hate Onari, you don't have to worry about Mario. Sure the first scene is him in a giraffe suit being an idiot, but the man only does that to method act as part of understanding the animals he's sculpting. When he needs to be serious, he gets serious. And there's way more serious than there goofy cosplaying with him. Hell, there's even a scene where he gets kidnapped by the villains while in a cow costume and he stands up to them completely seriously and not mooing like an idiot.

And the villains, oh glorious! You got the calculator and the bruiser generals, a dark chick and then the big bad Genis. Genis is amazing. He's quiet, dignified and unlike most villains who flip out every episode when the Sentai wins, he chuckles because it entertains him. His whole schtick is going to different planets and having his generals commit genocide in varying creative ways for his dark amusement. And Earth is the most entertaining season of his Blood Game yet because of what the ZyuOhgers do to thwart his plans.

And the action, with The World's introduction, you felt it.

Just look at the final seconds, how absolutley shattered they were by The World. You feel that. And they didn't cheerfully say "shucks, we'll beat him next time because we're awesome heroes" after that like the NinNinjas would, they were showing signs of light PTSD and even all agreed that they were fucking terrified. These are some of the most human characters we've had in a while, AND ONLY ONE OF THEM IS HUMAN!
