I liked the first episode, but I'm afraid that the SSP will become really annoying. They are a bit too silly for my taste.

Orb is as good of a place to start as every other Ultraman show. Just be ready to look up past Ultraman because unlike Rider and Sentai characters from other Ultraman shows and of course the Ultraman themselves pop up all over the place. Ultraman doesn't save cameos and stuff for movies.

Orb uses cards of past Ultraman to transform, and I'm sure some of them will appear later in the show. X was pretty much the same in that regard. Same goes for classic monsters, these appear frequently as well.

It's fine though, you can easily read up on past shows and since the characters in the show don't usually know the old characters either you'll get a short introduction of them.

I say go for it.
