I've been seeing theories that Genm is an AI that thinks he's in a video game, beating up whatever mooks he sees because he's trying to get to the end of the level. I'll actually be pretty damn disappointed if it's wrong, since it seems so accurate, judging by how wordless and all-business Genm is.
