Because frankly I think it's been really heavily focused on Yamato at the expense of the others (who seem kind of flat to me). Both ToQger and Ninninger really put emphasis on how each member of the team contributes something important but with Zyuohger it comes off like the rest of the team are basically just Yamato's groupies some of the time.

It reminds me a lot of Kyoryuger in that regard. I'm not saying it's a problem or anything (I like Zyuohger and think Kyoryuger is amazing) and obviously everybody else is still important but when Zyuoh Eagle is pulling triple duty as Zyuoh Gorilla and Zyuoh Whale it seems a little silly to act like being too centered on the Red guy is the problem when what you really mean is "I want the Red guy to not be a loud idiot."

I really don't feel like it's really Red centric. It does focus on Yamato in terms of powers, but Gorilla was never stronger than the others, just gave him a different ability.
The only moments where it felt like Yamato was above the rest was when he fought Bunglay, but beyond that, it feels like each member matters. Also, most of the stories Zyuoh tells are more about everyone else, either how they get along (Or don't, for anyone+Leo), or snippets on their history. Yamato's relevancy is rarely brought up, and his feeling of being an everyman helps people connect with him a lot easier, which helps him become more endearing.
