I said the same thing with my Proto-Drive gallery last year. It will not come off without a disproportionate amount of force. It may very well be easier to take off on some copies of the figure, it just depends on how consistent the QC was across the production line. But as I noted with Proto-Drive, his tire is literally glued together on mine, and it came that way straight from the toy show. So I've never been able to remove it. Gold Drive similarly won't budge no matter how much I try.

In any case the characters fictionally don't use these abilities so it doesn't really matter to me anyway. I don't generally like to photograph features that aren't actually canonical. Neither of them used Tire Exchanges as abilities. With Proto-Drive his abilities literally don't allow him to use them at all. Whereas Banno has the ability to steal Shift Cars and use their finishers, but doesn't need to do exchanges because his power is equivalent to that of a Super Evolved Roidmude.

I've seen plenty of reviews where people have removed the Archetype Gear tires from Proto & Gold before, the ones I have simply don't allow for it. They just can't seem to be removed
