Actually, it does.

"New take" implie sit is taking the original and making it new. But this didn't take anything from the original. It is an entirely different thing, not even vaguely resembling the original.

Yeah. Unless a movie TF has a Cybertronian alt mode, you can usually tell "oh yeah, that supposed to turn into something." Hell, AOE Grimlock at least had the T-rex heads on his shoulders.

My counter-arguement was "you can't claim this is a new and different take on it when it takes so much from MMPR specifically."
