The lower price and ability to just go out to a local store to buy it is a big reason. The lack of electronics also helps, as I don't keep batteries in anything I collect/display. Also, with this Megazord in-particular, the lack of electronics in the shurikens helps the look of the Megazord heads a lot.

Also, I hold off on buying anything PR related till after I've seen at least some of the show the item is based on. Even if I wanted the BoJ version specifically, most Sentai-based toys are more expensive than what I'm willing to pay for them by the time the PR equivalent is airing.
