If they really wanted to get him out of the show this early at least make it a more notable exit, you know?
Exactly. I was actually assuming he wasn't really dead specifically because it seemed so strange how this played out. Admittedly we did get a little moment with Hiiro at the end but I also feel like it kind of undercuts things to have the first thing that happens after he dies be the Riders childishly arguing about who got the last hit.
I could change my tune here if they do something interesting with his absence, but it just seems a little crazy to me they killed off a recurring villain for what probably could've just been another MotW plot. The only thing that was accomplished here was Emu getting the Riders to work together, and he didn't even really do that. Graphite, Brave, and Snipe really should've been the focus of an episode where Graphite dies but instead all three of them were bit players this week.

This probably won't surprise anyone but I disagree. I mean, Saionji wasn't a fighter in the first place, and he at least got to execute his whole master plan that resulted in a whole bunch of Plot stuff happening. And even though it backfired on him, he still got pretty much the entire cast of the show to play right into his hands. Comparatively, Graphite was just doing a slightly larger scale version of the same thing as always.
