I'm not entirely against Zordbuilder, in some cases it can work without ruining the Megazord, depending on which one we're talking about.

For example, MMPR Megazord (the Legacy mold). It's not perfect, but most of the Zordbuilder changes are either hidden and never really used (the Mastodon) or the the T-Rex knees in which the pegs are hidden in both tank and Megazord battle modes.

I will admit it's a bit odd to have pegs sticking out of his knees at all times, but it's one of the least offensive uses of the system.

I do think they could've found a way to incorporate Zordbuilder into this Megazord, as well as keeping it's current system, but I'm more than happy with it as is. I love the movie Megazord and I like the new direction they've gone with it.

I think they did it on purpose, too. Not just the size change, but to help differentiate between Megazords and lines as well.
