Would it help if I listed my positives?

-I liked that Jason said "It's Morphin' time" in a non-cheesy way, and not just because reference. It actually felt lke a semi-natural line and with his other brief shots in the trailer he doesn't seem to be as totally stone-faced depressed like I thought he was going to be. Jason was always my favourite so while I doubt he'll be much like the MMPR character, at least he's not what I was afraid he'd be.

-I liked that the Rangers fought in broad daylight without desaturated colours. The suits aren't my thing but at least everyone's colour is vivid. They didn't Zack Snyder it.

-I liked that we see Jason's suit all filthy as he crawls through the mud. I feel like super hero movies don't like to get the costumes messy, whether they're real or not.

-I liked how one of the money shots and big crescendo of the trailer is Jason saving a person. The Rangers are heroes, after all, and I hope they become publically acknowledged as such. The Rangers never worked as Spider-man-style social outcasts. Plus it hopefully means the final battle won't be just fighting and mindless destruction.

-I like how the Zords seemingly fight whilst combining, as you see the Pteradactyl on the T Rex's back while it's shooting.

-I think I like that you see their faces in the helmets. Granted it's odd and kinda stupid to do that in the Zord cockpits during battle, but I always like when we see the actual actors in the suits.

-I like the Command Center. It looks like a command center of some kind, and I like how the Rangers seemignly go on a little journey to find it. Though I guess the rocky part is, like, outside? Weird that the VR game thing used that as a setting.

-Ummm... I like the song they used. Just because I liked Saints Row The Third, not really because it fits the tone at all. In fact, it doesn't, but anything that reminds me of The Third is good.

-I like that they're fighting in a small town without many huge buildings. Feels a bit different than the typical Hollywood battle in a big grey American city with buildings crashing and falling and whatnot.

-Uh... hmmm. I like that... huh. Mmmm. What else? I like that the Zords get to fight before combining, though that is kinda typical of PR to do that at least once.

Now some uber quick, non-dwelling bullet points of what I don't like just in the interest of fairness:

-I don't like the actors playing the Rangers that much.
-I don't like how small the Zords are. They feel a lot like Transformers now.
-I don't like that Bryan Cranston is pretending he's not an actor.
-I don't like Goldar. I think it looks actually worse than what the toy alluded to.
-I don't like the jokes and self-references. This feels like a very altered perception of PR from a fan/Saban's point of view. Power Rangers was never all that quipy and self-referencial. It's camp and cheese came from the senarios being taken seriously, this feels disingenuous.
-I don't like Rita. Should've just been a new character or an underling of Rita.
-The Megazord looks even worse in motion. Despite simplifying itself to a "bodysuit" design, it still looks messy and overdetailed.
-The tone being so different from the last trailer makes me feel like this movie's going to be edging on bipolar.
-How do you glow black?
